Oman Kaminsky

Oman Kaminsky (Mexico City, 1983) is one of the leading guitarists of his generation. He has performed more than 200 concerts in more than 20 countries, including recitals at prestigious venues such as the Carnegie Hall (New York), the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), or the Fine Arts Palace (Mexico City).

He graduated with Isabelle Villey from the Escuela Superior de Música in Mexico City and completed his studies with Zoran Dukic at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, where he studied two master's degrees, in Guitar and in Music Pedagogy.

He is the winner of more than 30 prizes in Europe, USA, and Mexico, including the National Youth Award to the arts, given by the President of Mexico.

He is constantly invited as a soloist with orchestras in Mexico and in Europe and has performed more than 10 different guitar concertos.

His love for early music has leaded him to the Baroque Guitar and to the Lute, constantly playing in the Basso Continuo section at the Mexican National Opera Company.

He has recorded CDs for labels in Mexico, Spain, and Serbia.

As a pedagogue, he has educated generations of young classical guitarists and has one of the most successful classes in Mexico at the Escuela Superior de Música and at the National University, where he has taught from 2014 to 2023. Starting September 2023, he will be Guitar Professor at the prestigious Royal Conservatory Antwerp, in Belgium.
