Marco Piperno

Born in Lecce (Italy) in 1992. He started guitar lessons with Vito Fiore at the age of seven; he graduated when he was 17 under the guidance of Bruno Battisti D'Amario at the Music Conservatory "Santa Cecilia" in Rome. From 2010 to 2013 he studied with Oscar Ghiglia, also following the courses at the "Accademia Musicale Chigiana" in Siena. In 2014 he graduated at the Master of I level at the Conservatory of Music N. Piccinni in Bari with 110 with laud with Nando Di Modugno. Subsequently he is making progress with Paolo Pegoraro and Adriano del Sal at the "Segovia Guitar Academy" in Pordenone, with Giampaolo Bandini at the "Boccherini Institute" in Lucca and following numerous courses with Carlo Marchione and Lorenzo Micheli. In 2018 he graduated at Master of II level with 110 with laud at Conservatory of music "A. Boito" in Parma with Massimo Felici. At the age of 12 he made his first recital, starting his concert career as a soloist. He has given concerts throughout Italy and in numerous countries of Europe and Asia (Spain, Austria, France, Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, Belgium, Serbia, Thailand) and in the most important concert halls (Konzerthaus in Vienna, Gnessin Concert hall in Moscow, Trento Philharmonic, Royal Theater of Brussels, Parma House of Music, Primate's Palace of Bratislava, LAVA Theater of Valladolid, etc.). He played the Concert in D by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra in Moscow, with the orchestra "{oh!} Orkiestra Historyczna" of Katowice in Tychy with the direction of Marek Mos and with the orchestra of "Arrigo Conservatory Boito" in Parma. Since 2014 he won numerous guitar competitions in Italy and in the world obtaining two dozen international awards including more than ten first prizes, among the most important 1st prize Forum Gitarre Wien 2020, 1st prize XXVI Concurso Ciudad de Linares Andrés Segovia, 2nd prize "Alexander Frauchi International Guitar Competition" in Moscow 2017, 2nd prize with first not awarded XLIII Incontri Chitarristici di Gargnano and 1st prize and title of laureate International Guitar Biennial Kutná Hora 2022. He also is winner of 1st prize Elche Guitar Competition, 1st prize and public prize at XVI Concurso Internacional Guitarra el Condado, 1st prize Concurso Internacional "EstebanDaza" Valladolid, 1st prize II Selezione Internazionale Giovani Concertisti del Festival Valle dell'Ossola, 1st prize III Concorso Internazionale Varie Azioni sul Tema, 1st prize Concorso Internazionale Borguitar Festival, 1st absolute prize Concorso Giulio Rospigliosi, 2nd prize Zagreb Guitar Competition, 2nd prize XL Concorso Incontri Chitarristici di Gargnano, 2nd prize Concorso Internazionale omaggio a N. Paganini di Parma 2017/18, 2nd prize Sanremo Guitar Competition 2015/17/18, 3rd prize XV Concurso Ciudad de Linares Andres Segovia, 3rd prize XXII Coria Guitar Competition, 3rd prize and public prize Classica Guitar Competition. For many years he has played in numerous guitar festivals and also as a jury member, among them Forum Gitarre Wien, "Andrés Segovia" in Linares, J. K. Mertz Guitar Festival, Festival Internacional de Guitarra Ciudad de Valladolid, "Festival Paganini" in Parma, Festival de Guitarra de Elche, Comarca del Condado, Festival de Guitarra de Girona Costa Brava, "Segovia Guitar Week" etc. From 2018 to 2020 he was professor at the conservatory "C. Monteverdi" in Cremona, in 2020 at the conservatory "C. G. da Venosa" in Potenza and since 2021 at the conservatory "N. Rota" in Monopoli.
